Do Waterproofers need to have a License?

Yes!  Of course we do.

In New South Wales and Queensland, the person who undertakes the waterproofing must hold a current waterproofer’s license which requires a Certificate III in Construction Waterproofing.

We understand the importance of waterproofing and everyone on our workforce are qualified professionals. We’re happy to supply you with our waterproofing certificate and give you 7 years warranty on any project we complete for you.

How much does bathroom waterproofing cost?

The industry standard for waterproofing can cost as little as $40 per square metre and that is the low end of the scale.

Here at Gabriel’s Tiles and Installation our business is built on referrals and good relations. We want to offer the best deals on the market and are willing to beat any price. From our competitors expect to pay between $500 and $750 to completely waterproof an average sized bathroom. If the waterproofing is done in more than one bathroom or as part of a complete bathroom renovation, the cost may be lower. In some cases, such as large bathrooms, wet rooms or second storey bathrooms, the cost of waterproofing may be higher.

The best way of finding out the cost of your project is to get quotes from local bathroom water proofers. This will give you a sense of what market rates currently are.
